[Guide] How to take a screenshot of your computer screen

Post  derpbag on Sun Oct 21, 2012 2:21 am

Hey guys, today I'll be showing you how to take a screenshot of your desktop. Handy for funny pictures or bullying/bug/glitch reporting.

For ABSOLUTELY clueless people only. < They DO exist.

First thing you need to do is to locate the [Prnt Scrn] button on your keyboard. Generally in the first row or in special cases, to the left or right.

After you press it, you should probably be thinking, "Hmm, I don't see it." Well to answer that question, you will have to read a specific page on the bible. JOKING. You will have to open the Start Menu for your computer and open the default Paint program. Any image editor should do, but Paint is widely accessible and is installed/easy on ever computer.

Make sure it is blank and you don't draw on it.
Now all you need to do is to navigate on your keyboard the Ctrl button.
It is usually on both sides of the keyboard near the row closest to you.
Now press and HOLD DOWN Ctrl and press V.
This little handy command is known as Paste. Yes, the screenshot is COPIED to the clipboard, not saved.

All you need to do now is to select the Select tool at the Left panel and crop out whatever you want.

Once you are done and have saved it, goto imgur.com and upload your pic. *No registration required*
After uploading, click the BBCode/Forum part and you can just Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V right into the forums without pressing anything else.

Good luck! and have fun or ELSE.
