Lunaria Story Empty Lunaria Story

Don't know if you guys have seen this the latest 2d offering Lunaria Story but it's kinda weird. It's 2d and looks like maple , windslayer, la tale...etc but the catch is it will auto fight for you when you train and will auto walk for you when you need to go to another location on the map. It has 3 classes and pets and some form of pvp. You might want to check it out.

Lunaria Story Empty Re: Lunaria Story

When I read the title of the game you were talking about I cringed because of a recent game that came out called "StarLight Story" that is one of those Crystal Saga-like games. If you've played Crystal Saga, you know what I'm talking about.

When I read that the game had auto walking in it it made me facepalm because auto walking has spoiled players nowadays. MMOS are meant to be played and explored in, not for the game to do half the playing for you. Even more-so you mention this game has auto battling which in itself is a deal breaker for me. I can't play games that encourage players to afk 80% of the time they're online.

I took a peek at some captions of the game and sure enough it looks like one of them Crystal Saga-like games, however, it's not entirely like them in the sense that they're sorta 360 rotation games, this looks like 2D so I gave it the benefit of a doubt.

After observing some gameplay footage I noticed, like those Crystal Saga-like games you level insane quick during early levels which only means the later levels are going to be pure hell once the free exp giving quest die out meaning everyone is going to afk during later game. Stat progression is auto scaling which limits players from making their own builds which I think is a huge downfall. The game has a VIP system which is already a massive failure in that most games with VIP services terribly imbalance the game though I admit I don't know how much of an advantage VIP games give players. Knowing Chinese and Korean MMOs, its going to be severe.

Not trying to bash the game or anything as there's a sizable market for these types of games, problem is, 2013 is here and these types of games should no longer be existing.

The only positive I found throughout my short time reviewing the game is that it looks really Wind Slayerish. I'm also certain if any Wind Slayers play this game that'll be the only positive they'd see in this game as did I.

Lunaria Story Empty ...

The game has some interesting concepts. For instance you can gain a small amount of experience just from sitting still in the game, and so if you log off for a few days when you log back in it will give you the option of buying the exp. you missed out on. The auto battle feature is no differnt then a legal hack and you can turn it off and go old school. Not seeing a whole lot of VIP in the game but the game always looks to have a 1000 ppl online. The weird thing is no one ever pvp with all those players online and the pvp flows pretty smooth. It's not bad I think it would be better then La Tale or MS. The days are gone were a cash shop pvp will make it competive for free players.

You haven't played Crystal Saga-like games have you Truth? That's called "Resting Exp" where you start getting exp for being afk and offline, just as you say in Crystal Saga like games you have the option to purchase resting coupons which then can be exchanged for exp you earned while offline and redeem it.

They're so many players on at all times BECAUSE the game has in-game bot. Again, this is one of those games that encourage afk play so they'll always be tons of players * cough bots cough * roaming around. PvP always runs smoothly during early game, just wait, oh just you wait these types of games are terrible.

You have to understand that from personal experience I believe FTPMMOs cannot be played by free players, of course they're the exceptions being people who play MMOS for the social aspects but for the most part expect every MMO to be user friendly the first 6 months to year. Thereafter you will see the rise of cashers. This happens in every MMO weather you like it or not.

FTP is just a facade. If you have watched PVP in Wind Slayer 2 KR you would've noticed even in that game cash played a big role within the game. Granted players could sell premium items within the free market which would required an obscene amount of farming but that +145 Str, +77 Vit, +77 Dex, + 77 Int on say, Supreme Knight plays a significant role in PVP.

No, I stay away form Crystal Saga type games. I think what turned me off of it was it used mouse control. I like the idea of resting exp. that's pretty cool. I would glady pay to level anytime over grinding if the game is competitive enough. I think people misinterpret the concept of free to play it's really more of a try before you buy as all games are for cash players. However, since there is so much more game competiton then there was 10yrs. ago it's really the only option now as no one will pay for a subscription because there are too many games on the market. I think Lunaria is a step in the right direction as I'm sure it will have clones of that clone.

I don't play many if any MMOs anymore cause of one simple problem. Developers keep making premium cash a necessity and not a convenience. They're many MMOS that get by off making premium currency just a option in order to obtain things faster via Exp, Gold, Rare Items, Revival pots, or Gears but they don't break the game. The majority of todays MMOS make it a necessity meaning if you don't continue to purchase or purchase at all you'll be unable to compete with premium currency buyers. This is a bad model in my opinion, they don't need to force players who wish to compete to buy premium currency constantly. What do I mean by constantly? Cause MMOs have a habit of always outdoing past super powered gears.

Players are being too spoiled. Auto Walking sucks, Resting exp sucks, Quest Helpers ( not having to travel to npcs to turn in accept quest ) sucks, quest based leveling system sucks and the easy difficulty of todays MMOs being take Maple Story for example, the game has become so easy that anyone of any class an solo a boss. Developers and players alike have forgotten why we used to play MMOs. It is to interact with other players and enjoy playing with them. Back then it wasn't a matter of leveling to max fastest or having the most OP'd gear while adding more quest to the game does balance out the super grindy side of MMOs, players have become to quest dependent meaning if they don't have quest coming at them constantly they grow bored and start slaking off ( sometimes quitting ) This is similar to how console gamers are always begging for DLC the moment ( or even before ) a game comes out.
