Where is IG focus going to?

*Bad tread title I know*

If you've been playing WS2 within the recent week there's allot buzz going around about a new 3DMMO out there with a more childish like theme ( reminds me of Dragon Saga ) that's been attracting many WS2 players to it. Although I wouldn't say it's stealing players away from WS2 but it's caught the attention of many and many are trying the game out, I've been mostly to myself since I returned to WS2 focusing vastly on leveling up because I have to put more time into training due to only having 5 dexterity *derp* but since I rejoined the Mafia guild I noticed that many of their players had already ventured into Spirit Tales. Also, 4 of me 10 friends on me friend list also jumped aboard the ST train with 2 of them having not played WS2 since. I'm worried, with the recent downing and third postponing of the forums it seems like IG has given players no other option but to play something else until bigger changes are done to WS2.

I was saddened to see that IG updated their site, but there's no fresh clean feel to it. It seems like they pretty much copied the appearance other other existing MMO sites but kept their 3D carousel menu in the center, which is now pointless because you can very easily go to a site using the links at the top of the page or the "Game Start" button under the game description. IG, if you're going to revamp your website at least make it look different, unique, more innovative, not like you hired some 17 year old kid with lack luster knowledge of web design and just had him look and mimic the appearance of every MMO site out there.

IG, you have to step it up with WS2, you're doing great with the forums but seriously, push push push that forum's reopening ! Talk to your players about what's going on because it's not just new players that are being turned away about the lack of things to do and updates regarding WS2, you're potentially losing valuable loyal players that come from WS1, yes they're MANY loyal WS1 players that are trying other games and if you lose those players, well, best of luck to ya : (

First I'd like to say, the forums really doesn't affect most of the community, as 80% of them don't even look at it. And yeah, I've seen people migrate over as well. I've been very picky about the games I play, and I've just about immediately "Judged a Book by its Cover." I don't see myself trying this game anytime soon. But really, the Ws2 community was small enough, now it's pretty much dead. The problem with games like this is that there are no constant events that make players want to play. I mean, that Chocolate event was sad. It was daily, but the prizes weren't that good, and it was fairly difficult even for someone like me.

I could care less. IG really isn't too professional, and I'm guessing they're satisfied with the design. The 3D carousel menu is to make images strike out (I mean, who would want to play a game if you get JUST the description). I do admit, they could have done better, but they're probably more focused on their game sites anyways.

I'm not even sure what they did with the forums... Well, patching the game further really won't get people to play anyways. The level cap may be 87, but the players have pretty much stopped at 80. The IG staff should talk to the players. It's a good way to get ideas to keep it running. More events! (And not the crappy ones!)
