When experienced MMO gamers start to consider if investing in newer MMOs is even worth it. It appears that it doesn't matter if a game is good or bad most newer MMOs are very generic and those that try to be outside the box are almost always overshadowed by biased players who think the game they've been playing for years are unbeatable and waste no hesitation to spread the word that the new game is a wishy washy rip off of ( insert title here )

Why do I say this? Because after a long hiatus from MMO gaming I decided to play DarkBlood ( mostly because my PC hit the crappy again and I had to reformat it RUGH !!!!! ) despite it being hosted by OutSpark. OutSpark doesn't appear to cause its games to shut down ( at least I don't think so ) so after much reluctancy I decided to download the game. I'm not loyal to any one company it just so happen It was being hosted by OutSpark Haha. It's a great game and I wish you guys could've played it but unfortunately, it's going to be shut down.

Why do I mention this now? Well, I had intended to before but like many other things I just forgot, out of sight out of mind right? I decided to hop on the other day only to be reminded that it was shutting down and it hurt me a bit to jump back in the game being greeted by welcome backs followed by early goodbyes.

I'm always being reminded of why games like Maple and FlyFF manage to stay so strong for so long, I think personally it just has to do with security. These new games are a huge gamble and everyone is constantly being at risk of wasting their time and money. It doesn't matter how kick ass a game is because DarkBlood was the shiz but most games just always end of closing down. Fortunately for us so many new MMOs get shit out at such a rapid rate that we don't notice, at least, not so much.

2013 and we're still getting hotkey mashing 3D MMOs and crabby FPSs MMOs. Granted, there has been a MMO that actually does something unique every now and then but it feels like MMOs gaming has been frozen in time, say, 2006 and it doesn't appear to be or trying to catch up anytime soon. Yes, I am looking at you very hard Ragnarok 2 and games like you.

Guess we have no choice but to stick with our home games? I love La Tale, Lost Saga, Golfing Star, but damn man I wanna play something else.

Yes what gets me is everything now is a 10th generation WoW clone and these games must be spawned from a magical mmo fountain that was discovered by Spanish Explorer Cabeza De Vaca in the 1600s. I've played games on every single format imaginable. And they all have the same problem...extremely short skill cool downs which suck the strategy right out of the game or they give limit options for pvp. The only game I'm loving right now is Dragon Saga(for the grinding not the pvp). But the thing that gets me the most still....ps3,xbox, wii... these games you play with a gamepad of some sort. P.C games...hey lets play with a mouse and keyboard so we can flood you with options that ruin the game play.mehhh...

Yeah gaming doesn't seem to be taking any innovative advances lately, its mostly developers copying other developers and games that may seem next gen, like Dead or Alive 5 its just the same old games with better graphics : I But at least when we purchase console games we only have to pay 50 ~ 60 bucks and we get the full gaming experience. MMOs on the other hand it takes years for you to experience the game fully having to wait for update after update doing tedious task while you wait and having to keep consistent payments on the game like a monthly subscription otherwise you get overpowered by players who do pay constantly. I can deal with console games not being remarkably fresh but MMOs they got to try harder.
