Anyone alive in here?

Just wondering if anyone still comes here lol, and if so what have you been up to? Also, is Windslayer just a pipe dream now?

Believe it or not I check this site every other day. I can't explain why but I do, it gives me a quick nostalgia rush. It's like my equivalent to having a quick cigarette break.

As for what I've been doing, just you know, on that day to day grind, work, sleep, eat, play games, work, eat, sleep, play games and every so often I'll muster up the strength to draw something. Yep, I know exactly how you feel lol. Even just the mere image of the Windslayer sprites brings back memories of my time on both games, particularly on Windslayer 1.

The usual grind eh? Been stuck in a rut myself but meh.

Steam huh? Still trying to decide whether to get a PS4 or becoming part of the PC master race lulz. If I do decide to make a computer which I most likely will, I'll most definitely hit you up with a friend request on Steam.

Have you found any other mmo's similar to Windslayer? Ever since Windslayer 2 went down, I've recluded to the PS3 but I feel like it's time for an upgrade.

I really tried but I can't look at MMOs the same way again after WS2's shut down. I've played GolfStar on and off for a bit but even that shut down. It has been 3 years since I even looked at an MMO.

If you ever do decide to join steam I have a s*$t ton of codes I'd happily share for free :D

I've never found anything similar to Windslayer there are however a lot of 2d Windslayer/Maple clones for ios and android. Rainbow Saga and couple of others. Sad to say it's a lot of the auto-grinding garbage with pvp that is gear, level, and cash shop based. When I'm in a mood to grind I'll play Soul Saver but that's like every other month. I only play 2d mmorpg's and it's a dying genre.

From what I understand WonderKing KR is still active, its the global that isn't anywhere to be found. Perhaps Wind Slayer is similar? Who knows.

Yeah I think the genre is totally fucked right now. I check this forum like 3 times a year. Haven't found any other games to supplement WS but I play a little bit of Endless Online.

It's really so sad about Windslayer. I think we all share a similar pain. Sometimes I think about seriously contacting the owners of the original Windslayer and trying to work something out to where I could host a server or something. I also contemplate the idea of hiring programmers to create a game for me. Me and my artist friends could do all the graphics. But these are simply ideas, and if it ever happens it'd be posted about on here or the facebook page.

However if something does come out that fills the void, please let us know.
