Creating your own game.
Hypothetically speaking, if you were given the resources to create your own MMO, would you? What kind of game would he be? What age group would your game target?
Personally I prefer more mature appealing games than kiddy ones.

Re: Creating your own game.
I would recreate Wind Slayer 1 and call it Breeze Slasher. Then see how long it took for me to get a lawsuit. But really, I would make a 2D side-scroller aimed at the ages 10-25. I would make the simplify the graphics a lot and then focus on free content, physics and economy. Of course I would only attempt to make something like this if money was not an issue so the worry wouldn't even cross my mind during the development.
What kind of game would you make? What would be it's main focus points?

Hmm I dunno, my mind kinda races at the thought.
Generally I prefer 3D MMOs because I think they're more pleasant to look at on top of there usually being more to do but I do tire of them, most of what I've played feels the same.
If I made a MMO it would be heavily team based. I like games that are hard not cheap hard such as bosses being able to kill a single player in 1 death blow regardless of class, you know, that La Tale shit lol.
There wouldn't be a specific stated class like, Knights have high health, mages have low health that sort of thing. Yes, the classes will have buffs that support their own main stat but the great majority of it will be based on stat distribution. I would also make a game in which every class could use any weapon but weapons that are designed for a specific class will have buffs that only its assumed class would be able to use. E.G
Knight's Long Sword decreases accuracy for all classes except for Knights.
Mage Staff reduces mana consumption and cast speed only for mages.
Dagger increases critical rate only for Thieves.
I just always liked the thought of a person being able to designed a truely unique character rather than the type of character being dictated by class. Basically a game where players can be a tank with any class and a glass cannon with any.
In pvp I like when players are able to duke it out until the time runs out, whoever kills the other most time wins.
I could go on and on XP

Re: Creating your own game.
I'm literally making a game right now in school.
It's a course called Info Tech and we make games from a program called GameMaker lolol.
I can show you by uploading the .exe file after transferring it from school drive.
It's not completed but its about a cat who fights a dog in the middle of the sky with shooting stars lol.
Also have to rescue little kittens and destroy big dogs lolol.
Not the average game to expect from a guy...

Not sure if that's a joke or not. . . .

No really lol.
It's a remake of this game called Evil Clutches.
I play as this dragon in which you can shoot fireballs and save your kin...
but mine is a cat and I fight against dogs...

Ahh yes, I have GameMaker the studio edition on my computer. Got it about a month ago. I did the evil clutches tutorial that was in a GameMaker book I got on amazon. GameMaker is a cool little program. I tried to animate a stick figure doing merciless strike from Windslayer and it was just so awful. I don't mess around with it much. I don't have enough patience. And that stick figure took forever to do.
